PA6-CF

Carbon-Fiber Nylon 6
Structural end-use · High-load

PA6 nylon reinforced with carbon fiber — strength-to-weight that competes with machined aluminum. The step up from PET-CF when heat and outright strength join the brief.

Strengths
& uses

Where weight is a constraint and plastic has to perform like metal.

Strengths
  • Tensile strength 105 MPa — the strongest filament we run
  • Heat deflection 196 °C at 1.8 MPa — crystallinity carries it far past the 57 °C glass transition
  • Matte black straight off the printer — the carbon fiber hides layer lines
  • Takes on moisture like every nylon — worth planning for in wet service
Common applications
  • End-use brackets
  • UAV structural parts
  • Tooling for production
  • Motorsport components
